Himadri Guha is a civil engineer practising in the Kolkata area for over 40 years across academia, consultancy, construction, and real estate development. He owns three firms through which he provides services.

Academic
Dr Guha was a faculty member in the Civil Engineering Department at Jadavpur University and also taught in the Construction Engineering Department at the Salt Lake Campus. He is still associated with these departments in academic matters. He has published numerous papers and two technical books.
Consulting
Dr Guha is a licensed consultant for green buildings. He has instrumentation infrastructures for on-site measurements of structures required to assess or restore old and distressed buildings. He provides consultancy services in structural assessment, green building, environmental assessment, fire safety, and heritage building restoration.
Construction & Development
Dr Guha is the owner-director of a mid-size construction firm executing multistoried buildings and also develops smaller-sized real estate projects mainly in the Kolkata area.
Pro-bono works
He has been associated with Ram Krishna Mission, Vivekananda Birth Place and Beneras Math, Sarada Mission, Bagbazaar, Sister Nevedita Museum, Sri Gaudiya Math, Bagbazaar, etc.
Academics
Dr. Guha has a PhD in civil engineering and a second PhD in management, a rare achievement. He authored a text book by Tata-McGraw Hill in construction that is taught in IITs and NITs.
He is still associated in number of researches and academic activities with IIEST, Jadavpur University & Jadavpur, Salt Lake campus. He regularly publishes in technical journals. A book about built heritage of Kolkata was recently published.
Consulting
Dr. Guha has concentrated his services in’ hard-to-find expert‘ areas. He provides services in green building, energy simulations, microclimate studies, fire safety simulations, web-based project management, etc.
He is also an expert in heritage and existing building restorations, including building assessment surveys. His familiarity with the latest research helps him provide world-class services.
Execution
Dr. Guha, as director constructed a number of well known buildings in Kolkata area. Some of the examples would be Infinity, Jal Vayu Bihar, Paribesh Bhavan in Salt Lake, Samriddhi Bhavan of SBI, Strand Road, Bengal Green Field, & Sujkobrishti in Rajarhat, Genexx Valley in Behala and Asansol and many others. He is also involved in developing real estate.
Voluntary
Dr. Guha provides pro bono services in several humanitarian organizations like Sri Sarada math, Sri Gauyadiya Math etc.
He is appointed by Jadavpur University as an expert for PhD committees. He works as an invitee in Heritage Committee of the Kolkata Municipal Cororation. He is appointed by the W.B. Govt. in High Power Building Regulation committees.
